The Park at West End is a pocket park of concentrated vintage charm on the west end of historic Garrison Avenue in downtown Fort Smith, Arkansas. An iconic 56-foot Ferris wheel that was built by the Eli Bridge Company for the 1935 World's Fair in San Diego, California, the Ferris wheel is 56 feet tall and holds up to 32 passengers.
The Ferris Wheel offers an unparalleled view of downtown Fort Smith, the Fort Smith National Historic Site, and the Arkansas River. The park's carousel, built and hand-painted by the Bertazzon Company in Treviso, Italy, brings old-fashioned joy to riders of all ages. A covered arcade provides wholesome entertainment for kids and teenagers.
Tasty and affordable food is available whenever the park is open, either from the Frisco Diner, which is in a restored Pullman railcar, or concessions from the park's British Leland double-decker bus.
